Our Process

From first consultation to perfect fit — every step matters.

How It Works

Your Journey to Beautiful Furniture

1

Consultation

We discuss your vision, budget, and timeline. You send us photos or bring furniture pieces to our Eastham workshop. We explore fabric options together.

2

Measurement

Precise measurements are taken — every angle, curve, and dimension. This forms the basis of your custom pattern.

3

Pattern Creation

Mary creates a paper pattern unique to your furniture. This takes time but ensures the final fit is nothing short of perfect.

4

Fabric Selection

You choose from hundreds of premium fabrics. We send samples to your home so you can see colors in your space.

5

Craftsmanship

Your slipcover is cut and sewn by hand in our workshop. Every seam is reinforced, every detail considered.

6

Fitting & Delivery

We deliver and fit your new slipcover, making any final adjustments. Your furniture transformation is complete.

Precise measurement process
The Details Matter

Why Measurement Is Everything

Ready-made slipcovers are designed for "standard" furniture. But what is standard? Sofas come in thousands of variations, and off-the-rack covers rarely fit any of them properly.

When we measure your furniture, we account for:

  • Seat depth and width variations
  • Arm height and thickness
  • Cushion configurations (T-cushions, box cushions)
  • Skirt length preferences
  • Hardware locations (feet, handles)

This attention to detail is what separates custom from generic.

Handcrafted Quality

Made By Hand, Not Machine

Every slipcover that leaves our workshop is made by skilled hands. We don't use assembly lines or automated machinery for the final product.

This means:

  • True attention to pattern matching
  • Reinforced seams at stress points
  • Hand-finished edges and hems
  • Quality control at every stage

It takes longer this way, but the results speak for themselves.
